The Amalgama Red Table Wine, from the Cachapoal Valley of Chile, is a blend of 70% Cabernet and 30% Syrah. The grapes were harvested in April 2013, so it is a relatively young wine. This is a fresh, fruit forward red wine without a lot of oak influence. While it is not the most complex red wine, it is a tasty, medium dark fruit flavored wine that can be enjoyed with food or on its own.
My local Costco currently is reducing the $15.99 price to $8.99. This is a very popular wine and should sell quickly. I have had 2 bottles and will purchase more while it is available.
